Regional Director for Dutch Caribbean

Recruit new missionaries to OM from the Dutch Caribbean, develop and strengthen relationships with local churches, and grow a team of local volunteers with a heart for missions.

Requirements

OM Caribbean is part of OM International, a worldwide missions organisation of more than 4000 workers in 100+ countries and on one ship Logos Hope.

The vision of Operation Mobilisation is to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.

In the Dutch Caribbean islands we wish to mobilize Christians to be involved in reaching the least reached, therefore we are looking for a Regional Director for the Dutch Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Maarten, St. Eustatius, Saba, Suriname)

We are looking for a couple or single - part time or full time who is gifted in:
Communicating OM’s purpose and vision
Developing and maintaining the strategical relations with financial partners, supporting churches, foundations and prospective partners (this includes fund raising)
Developing and maintaining the strategical relations with the local media and the local governments of each island
Building a bridge between OM and the local churches and developing meaningful relationships with church leadership
Relating to all levels of the islands’ communities from the financially challenged people to the successful business people
Creating awareness about worldwide mission and the many mission opportunities local Christians can be involved in
Organizing presentations, mission events and conferences
Being a reliable OM point of contact and facilitator/coordinator for the OM missionaries as they prepare, while they are with OM and as they transition out
Being a reliable OM point of contact for the OM Caribbean Field Leader and the OM Caribbean office
Being a reliable OM point of contact for any working groups in the Dutch Caribbean islands
Being flexible to travel between the Dutch Caribbean islands and other islands when required

Requirements:
Able to raise the financial support required for this position
Passionate for the Lord and OM’s mission
In agreement with OM Statement of faith
Willing to become a member of a local church
A high level of integrity & ethics
Flexible and adaptable attitude and are culturally/emotionally intelligent
Determined and do not give up easily
An open communicator and have great interpersonal skills (speaking to groups does not stress you)
Clear presentation skills
Good writing skills in English
Speaking Spanish and/or Dutch would be helpful
Good administrative skills and are able to maintain and manage databases and handle a small administration (keep records)
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A plus if you also speak Papiamento
