Toronto Challenge 2: Canada
-To glorify God.
The programme is varied and intense. Over the course of the event, the participant receives training focusing on the Word, evangelism and how to reach people of several major world faiths. He/she is then put into situations where the training provided can be applied.
-To reach out to our newest neighbours in Toronto with the gospel in culturally appropriate ways.
-To partner with local churches to spur them on to further service in their community.

Ministry Details
-Door-to-door visitation in typically high immigrant locations
-Personal evangelism at local hang outs
-Practical service through volunteering at local organizations
-Cross cultural ministry as the team visits local religious sites
-Training in evangelism tools: Evangicube, tracts, etc.
Participant Profile
-Team members should come with:
-A positive attitude
-An intermediate knowledge of English
-A strong prayer support team at home
-A sense of humour
-Team members should be prepared to be:
-Flexible
-Humble/Teachable
-Available to be used by God in different ways
-Part of a team
Accommodation: -Come prepared to sleep on the floor. Sleeping bags are necessary. Bringing an air mattress is recommended.
-No laundry facilities will be provided.
Food: -A variety of healthy Canadian food is provided. -Vegetarians and those with food allergies need to notify their home offices as soon as possible so that special arrangements can be made.
Travel: -Those flying into Canada should arrive at Pearson International Airport in Toronto between 12:00 and 15:00 on July 3. -Those arriving by train should arrive at Union Station in Toronto between 12:00 and 15:00 on July 3. -Those driving into Toronto should arrive at Morningstar Christian Fellowship no later than 16:00 on July 3.
How to find us: -Participants will be picked up at the airport/train by someone from the receiving field with an “OM Canada” sign.
Health: -Participants must be in good health.
-The program for Toronto Challenge involves significant amounts of walking, so come prepared for an active week.
-Although there are periods of rest time allotted for participants, the schedule is quite demanding and is not recommended for potential participants who tire easily.
-Any allergies need to be identified before the participant gets to the field of service.
Visa: It is the responsibility of the sending field’s office to check into visa requirements.

Toronto Challenge (28-Jul-2008) OM Canada's Toronto Challenge is in progress. Please pray for the 44 participants who are reaching out and ministering to people in the greater Toronto area.
South Asia Presentation Team in Canada (22-May-2006) At the end of February 2006, two girls and a guy headed out for Canada and the outspread reaches of the Prairies. Two were Asia Challenge Team people, one from OM Nepal. Their task: to bring South Asia into the lives of those living in the Prairie towns. Their aim: to enthuse young Christians and challenge their worldview on what God is doing.
