The most primitive trip we will do this year is during the week leading into Easter. The original inhabitants of Costa Rica are ministered to by this team, so we have to go deep into the jungle to meet them. Long hiking and primitive sleeping are part of the experience. We continue to deepen our relationships and influence for Christ with these people as we give more of ourselves.

We will work amongst a mainly Shiite Muslim group which is very poor. This is an area picked by the church we partner with as ready to receive God's love. Please do not be frightened by media portrayal of the area, as the place we will serve is safe. Medical clinics will show God's love in a tangible way, and the local church we partner with will continue to bring them our message of love after we are gone. The maximum team size is 10, so please apply early.

All of our trips in Peru are centers of both medical and spiritual healing. All of the areas we serve in are poor, and all very open to the gospel. Each trip partners with a local church, and in most we do the clinic directly in the church building. Depending on the number of people, we also do creative evangelism projects. Each of these outreaches are great places to start in medical missions. You will be forever changed after working with our selfless missionaries here.

We will launch an exciting new ministry into action on this trip. Our workers here have outfitted a boat to be a floating medical clinic. This will allow us access to remote places difficult to reach by land. It will also allow unprecedented impact for the church. We will launch the boat into ministry, stay on it, and conduct small clinics in areas to determine future trips. As this is a work in progress, those interested must be flexible in expectations.

The ground support for this team is huge and it seems like it will have great impact. It also would be a good place for those just getting into missions to serve.

We will be working with a group of people still reeling from a civil war that came to an end around the tsunami. The people we are serving are now peaceful farmers, living on less than $1 a day. There is a great opportunity to reach these communities through the impact badly needed medicine can provide. These teams will be smaller, but have the ability to make a big impression.
