Youth Worker

Young people today are searching for what is real and what works in their lives. They are moving from childhood to adulthood. Some have already started a friendship with Jesus but lack a mentor to disciple them in their relationship with Christ, while others have never heard of Christ. Around the world, there is a tremendous need for full-time youth workers, who have a deep desire to see young people develop in their walk with Jesus. In many circumstances, creativity is needed to find ways to make connections and build relationships with young people. Do you share our passion to see young people discover who Jesus is and be built up to become men and women who follow Him? Consider joining us on this journey!

Requirements

The DOCK community centre in Tata was opened by OMers in 2017 for people of all ages looking for a place of safety, connection and encouragement. At the moment our target group is mainly youth (11-18 years old). The centre is a place of community, built with space for games and seating so the youth can relax and enjoy fun and meaningful fellowship. We need people to join our team that want to connect and build up relationships with the youth that comes in. Building this trust results in them coming to us with their questions and doubts and gives us a great opportunity to speak into their lives and share about the hope that we have as Christians. Next to this ministry there will be opportunities to serve poor and marginalized people, help preparing and running outreaches for groups coming here and serve in the local churches with different kinds of ministries.
