The work in Africa is expanding at a rapid rate. In order to keep up with the growth, we are looking for someone to assist our Area Personnel Officer with the growing work in the Sahel Region. This role will involve working with people from many different cultures, and being in the middle of what God is doing in Africa!
The Africa Area Office is looking for a person who can process all our recruiting, screening and application forms for applicants interested in joining short or long term opportunities with OM in the Sahel Region.
Part of your responsibilities would include providing information via phone or email to the requests that come in and continue providing guidance until an applicant has found the right place within OM considering their background, desires, abilities, expectations, etc.
This role also involves staying in contact with the missionaries, sent out from our office, once they have reached their field of service.
If you are new to OM, we would ask that you go through some of our basic training courses here in Africa in order to get to know more about OM - and especially about OM in Africa.
As soon as possible
“…There was just something about speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves,” said Annelize.
From the age of five, Jane knew she wanted to serve the Lord overseas. What she didn't know was when exactly she would go.
“I have found that, working with the different fields, I can help the young people grow in their roles and support the Field strategically – aspects of my career that I loved to do, and now continue to do so,” said Van Zyl.

“I joined a homegroup (Bible Study or life group) two years ago and as time passes, more and more of each member’s character is coming forward,” says Renette. “It dawned on me the other day that we honestly do not have anything in common. No one does the same job or has the same friends or enjoys the same hobbies. No one would have met if it wasn’t for the homegroup. The only thing in common is our love for Jesus.”
When Juan felt compelled to leave his studies and do church planting, God made it clear to him to finish because God was going to use Juan's skills for His purposes.
